This is an exquisite example of traditional provincial Chinese style and form from the Ming Dynasty.
The Large, frontally oriented cabinet is decorated along the top and sides with
mouldings shaped as a continuous line of ruyi lappets. The cabinet stands on leopard legs with lotus
shaped pads. Note the deep carvings and elegant style of it's curving lines and scrolling apron.
Very few of the ming cabinets survive today. (Click on the images to see detail.)
